Belfast - February 20th 2012 -A commissioned portrait of The Right Honourable The Lord David Trimble, Northern Irelands’ first, First Minister will be unveiled today at the Northern Ireland Assembly by Mr. William Hay MLA, Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly. The commissioned portrait painted by the Dublin artist David Nolan, the portrait of Lord David Trimble is set against a greyish, blue background. The painting, merges a nineteen thirties style mixed in with contemporary portraiture. It will hang along side other portraits in the Stormont collection, which include the former speaker Lord Alderdice, Séamus Mallon and the former First Minister Rev. Ian Paisley.
